2026-2027 Admissions Information

Our priority deadline was February 28th, but there is still limited space available in grades 1-8. If you would like to apply for PreK/K, you will be added to the waiting list. Applicants who would like to be considered for sliding-scale tuition should submit their 2025 1040 tax form along with their application.

Info sessions:

All sessions are on Saturdays from 12:30pm to 2:00pm. Please RSVP to admissions@chicagofreeschool.org. Childcare will be provided.

  • Saturday, July 11th, 12:30pm to 2:00pm
  • Saturday, August 15th, 12:30pm to 2:00pm

Directions to our school: If you are traveling by car, take 50th Street to Greenwood Avenue, turn onto Greenwood (pass the “Presidential Traffic” signs), and turn into the parking lot. We are located upstairs.

Admissions Requirements:

  • PreK3 students must turn 3 before September 1st of the enrollment year.
  • All students must be potty trained.
  • Students entering grades 3-8 must attend a visit day, which will be scheduled after you apply.
  • Families requesting sliding-scale tuition must submit their prior year tax form before the application is considered complete.
  • There is a $50 non-refundable application fee.
  • Does your student have special needs such as ADHD or an IEP? Email us at admissions@chicagofreeschool.org with any questions and to learn more about the documentation we ask for in our admissions process. 

Timetable:

  • Late November/early December – application becomes available
  • January – visits begin for entering 3rd-8th grade students
  • February 28th, 2024 – priority deadline
  • Applications continue to be accepted on a rolling basis after February 28th

Enrollment offer and registration fee:

When admissions letters are sent out, you will be notified of your tuition, as well as your registration fee between $175-$350, depending on your sliding scale tuition amount.
